Wesley turns 1!

We had the best time celebrating Wesley's big day! Grandma Mary came into town to help celebrate! We started off at the children's museum, playing with water and climbing around the toddler room. He spent a lot of the day practicing walking and even took a few steps. We capped off the day by singing happy birthday with yummy cupcakes.

Wesley has added "dog" to his vocabulary. He loves playing with any vehicle toy or anything that makes a lot of noise. He loves banging on tables and keyboards!

Kennedy is 2 and 7 months

Otherwise known as "Anna" from Frozen. Kennedy has had another month of fun! She started preschool and goes twice a week. She can already say her first prayer! She still loves watching Frozen, of course. Dancing around the house, playing with the ball with her parents and Wesley, painting, play dough, and soccer are some of her favorite activities.

Wesley is 11 months!

One month left until our little man is officially 1! It is all going by way too fast. Wesley is changing and growing leaps and bounds everyday. His appetite is through the roof. I feel like I am feeding a teenager already! He is even putting things in his mouth he shouldn't and giving me lots of anxiety. He is a super fast crawler and is cruising around our furniture. He transfers between furniture. He is also using the furniture to walk. He loves passing, bouncing, and chasing his ball. Finally his 4th tooth had broken through!

Labor Day Weekend in Jekyll Island

We spent this past weekend in Jekyll island with the Hohman and Talbott families. We enjoyed fun in the sun, kids chaos in the house, the Georgia Sea Turtle Museum, a Maine Biology museum, and lots of laughs with great friends.

Wesley is 10 months!

Wesley is changing leaps and bounds! He has been busy speed crawling all over the house, pulling up on everything, even trying to climb up stairs. He also moves from different pieces of furniture while standing up. He loves playing with water. He makes all sorts of sounds and noises. We especially love mamamama and dadadadada. In this past week his appetite is changing and increasing to another level. He has tried everything we have given him!

Weekend trip to the mountains!

We spent this past weekend near Waynesville,  NC. The Ashby family was kind enough to share their adorable cabin with us! We drove in Friday evening and enjoyed a farm to table experience at Frogs Leap Public House. Then we were off to explore our vacation house. We woke up bright and early each morning thanks to Wesley. That just meant we were able to beat the crowds to Joey's Pancake House. Following breakfast Saturday we explored Soco Falls and Mingo Falls. We drove the first part of the Blue Ridge Parkway into Downtown Asheville. We enjoyed another farm to table experience at the Early Girl Eatery. If that wasn't enough we went back to downtown Waynesville for some shopping and pizza. After our breakfast on Sunday we drove another part of the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway down to Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls. Whew! What an adventure!

Kennedy is 2 and 1/2!!!!

Where does the time go? Kennedy loves making new friends and refers to everyone as her friend. Her favorite movie this month is Frozen. However, she still loves Tinker Bell. She has loved being on vacation with family while enjoying new adventures.

To the North Country and Back

We started early on July 22nd, we left at 3:45 am and arrived 17 hours later at 9 pm. Yikes! We arrived just before darkness. Brian spent 4 days cutting wood with his Dad and Erich. We enjoyed Catherine's wonderful fried chicken,  pork, pizza, and prime rib. We went to the Boonville fair. Kennedy rode her first amusement ride. She went on the spinning pumpkins, bumper boats, a train coaster with Jacob, and car coaster with Mom. We picked berries and cherries at Tug Hill Winery. Mom and Dad slipped out for dinner with Adam and Laurie at a new hotel on the St. Lawrence River in Clayton. On our last night we stopped in Philadelphia and spent time with the Wood and White families. We were lucky enough to find out the White family is expecting their 2nd child.
