Spring break 2015

After a tumultuous start. .. we have had a wonderful couple of days playing at the beach, going to the imaginarium, and visiting with family.

Since being home... We have seen mermaids at the aquarium and picked out flowers at hidden ponds.

Wesley is feeding himself now.

Kennedy just looked at a picture of our family and pointed everyone out and then said.... "And then we lived happily ever after." Yes we do sweetheart!

Wesley is feeding himself!

Wesley is 17 months (eek).  In recent weeks he has been a much better eater when he feeds himself. He is doing great with a spoon and fork!

Don't let me forget this!

Tonight Wesley said "night night" and he makes the kissing noises. Sometimes if we are lucky. .. he will blow us a kiss. He loves all toys that he can push and make a lot of noise. He has become quite the golfer too. So far he is playing left handed.
Kennedy continues to be our favorite sass. She loves picking out her dresses. .. wants to change every hour! Her ensembles are quite special. Her play imagination is growing. It is so funny to hear her giving her toys a time out, a nap, of course we love it when sets up tea parties for them.

Our little golfer!

Another funny thing I never want to forget... lately Wesley has been using some creative tools to play golf. He not only uses his plastic clubs with tennis balls around the house. But he will also use the bouncy ball and a toy spatula to play golf!

Kennedy is 3!!!

I think it is safe to say Kennedy had a great birthday WEEK! We started it off by having a party with her friends at My Gym. We had a hot dog swing, danced to shake it off, zip lined through the gym, and she was paraded around on a chariot by her daddy! I also brought cupcakes into her class. He capped off the celebrations with hot dogs and french fries at Jack's cosmic dogs!

Sunday funday!

We had the best time running around at the beach yesterday! Wesley flew a kite for the first time! Kennedy made a sand palace!

Morning silliness

This morning Wesley ate his cheerios from a measuring cup using a fork?!?!

Kennedy has been referring to her mom as "baby." She says "thanks baby" whenever she gets what she is asking for.

Christmas 2014

We had a truly special Christmas this year! My Dad and Leni came to celebrate with us. Kennedy loved looking at the lights everyday! She always made sure to turn them on whenever she was around. The Christmas tree survived Wesley's curiosity. Whoopsie our elf  checked on us during the day to make sure everyone stayed on the nice list.  Watching Kennedy's expression Christmas morning was priceless. We were spoiled by family again!

Thanksgiving & Malave wedding

We spent Thanksgiving in Florida with the Sutton family and ended the week with bang with the Malave wedding in Mount Dora, Florida. It was a very eventful week with Wesley starting to walk more and more. The whole Sutton family came over from east coast to celebrate Thanksgiving with us.
After a fun couple of days in Fort Myers we headed North to Mount Dora to celebrate Andres & Ashley's wedding! Kennedy was the most beautiful and precious flower girl. She was spoiled all week with our family. Then we danced the night away at the Malave wedding!

Wesley turns 1!

We had the best time celebrating Wesley's big day! Grandma Mary came into town to help celebrate! We started off at the children's museum, playing with water and climbing around the toddler room. He spent a lot of the day practicing walking and even took a few steps. We capped off the day by singing happy birthday with yummy cupcakes.

Wesley has added "dog" to his vocabulary. He loves playing with any vehicle toy or anything that makes a lot of noise. He loves banging on tables and keyboards!

Kennedy is 2 and 7 months

Otherwise known as "Anna" from Frozen. Kennedy has had another month of fun! She started preschool and goes twice a week. She can already say her first prayer! She still loves watching Frozen, of course. Dancing around the house, playing with the ball with her parents and Wesley, painting, play dough, and soccer are some of her favorite activities.

Wesley is 11 months!

One month left until our little man is officially 1! It is all going by way too fast. Wesley is changing and growing leaps and bounds everyday. His appetite is through the roof. I feel like I am feeding a teenager already! He is even putting things in his mouth he shouldn't and giving me lots of anxiety. He is a super fast crawler and is cruising around our furniture. He transfers between furniture. He is also using the furniture to walk. He loves passing, bouncing, and chasing his ball. Finally his 4th tooth had broken through!

Labor Day Weekend in Jekyll Island

We spent this past weekend in Jekyll island with the Hohman and Talbott families. We enjoyed fun in the sun, kids chaos in the house, the Georgia Sea Turtle Museum, a Maine Biology museum, and lots of laughs with great friends.

Wesley is 10 months!

Wesley is changing leaps and bounds! He has been busy speed crawling all over the house, pulling up on everything, even trying to climb up stairs. He also moves from different pieces of furniture while standing up. He loves playing with water. He makes all sorts of sounds and noises. We especially love mamamama and dadadadada. In this past week his appetite is changing and increasing to another level. He has tried everything we have given him!

Weekend trip to the mountains!

We spent this past weekend near Waynesville,  NC. The Ashby family was kind enough to share their adorable cabin with us! We drove in Friday evening and enjoyed a farm to table experience at Frogs Leap Public House. Then we were off to explore our vacation house. We woke up bright and early each morning thanks to Wesley. That just meant we were able to beat the crowds to Joey's Pancake House. Following breakfast Saturday we explored Soco Falls and Mingo Falls. We drove the first part of the Blue Ridge Parkway into Downtown Asheville. We enjoyed another farm to table experience at the Early Girl Eatery. If that wasn't enough we went back to downtown Waynesville for some shopping and pizza. After our breakfast on Sunday we drove another part of the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway down to Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls. Whew! What an adventure!
